Considering this blog is called Lippie Hippie there are way too little lipsticks featured. It’s just too complicated to swatch them on the lips, because I usually feel the need to do full face make up – I always apply foundation so I cover the redness and blemishes on my skin, and then why would you apply only foundation, do it all!
Today I’ll show you one of my MAC lipsticks from Sheen Supreme Range. It’s called Full Speed. You will get 3,6g of the product for $17 or 19,5€.
The packaging is black, shiny and sleek. It’s well made and travel-friendly. You can hear the click when you close it.
How would I describe that shade? I must admit that I’m getting a bit lost with all those descriptions like coral, peachy, orange… Like, what is the “key information” that shows you which shade is which? :D Anyhew, I’d say that this is coral with an orange undertone which you can especially notice in the sunlight (3 picture – swatch on the hand). Now I remembered I can check on the MAC site how they describe the shade, and they say it’s “bright clean yellow pink”. I have no words. :D
The formula of this range is more of a buttery one, so lipsticks are not extremely pigmented or opaque with the first swipe. I think I applied 2 layers in the picture below. The downside is that it sets in the lines and emphasizes imperfections, so a little exfoliation before is much needed.
It lasts around 2-3 hours without eating on my lips and with time it loses on its shine, there is only stain left.
I like this shade, but I’d like to have something less vibrant in my collection too. The formulation is not really up my alley, I think you can get better buttery lipsticks for less (Revlon, Bourjois etc.). I think I already mentioned that this range is not my favorite and if you get lipsticks by MAC, get the normal ones, with rounded lid (these have a flat one) because the are the deal :D
Let me know what you think about how this lippie looks on the lips and if you can tell the difference between peachy, coral, orange and all those shades :D
